When The Going Gets Tough, Congress Gets Going....Home That Is

Like the spineless politicians they are, the Democratic controlled Congress decides to go home rather than face the economic meltdown that is gripping our Nation. Pussies.

From Bloomberg:

The Democratic-controlled Congress, acknowledging that it isn't equipped to lead the way to a solution for the financial crisis and can't agree on a path to follow, is likely to just get out of the way.

What are they equipped to do?  One thing you can count on them doing is blaming it on everyone else. There is no shortage of finger-pointers in that lot even if there are few backbones.

`When you rush to judgment, you usually make mistakes,'' said Sherwood Boehlert, a former Republican congressman from New York.

So the best judgment is make no judgment then criticize the judgment of others when you return. It wasn't us. We didn't do anything! He did it! She did it!

``This is something you can't go on forever without addressing, but Congress in a short span of time is best served by going home.''

Congress is "best served" Congress is best served? What about the Nation you are supposed to be serving?

I'm sure Congress is not equipped to deal with this crisis but there is something to say for remaining at the helm while a solution is reached. How does that saying go about rats and a sinking ship?

I wonder when they remove the conscience from political candidates? How could anyone just "go home" and not feel guilty?
