Bob Barr Sues Texas

Libertarian candidate Bob Barr has sued the State of Texas to get McCain and Obama removed from the ballot.  Both parties have broken state law by missing a deadline to have their candidate included.

Every state in the country has been very strict in applying these election laws to third parties. Now we will wait and see if the Republican and Democratic parties are above the law. Somehow I bet they are. There is nothing that will align a Democrat and a Republican together quicker than working to ensure that we only have a two party system.  You want non partisan politics? Throw in an independent and you will have it every time.

I'm sure Texas will not follow the law in this matter but I think it would be a good idea if they did. First, it will only strengthen third parties which is the best thing that could happen to our country. Secondly, it will almost insure a McCain victory in Texas.  Both parties would begin a massive write-in campaign. Since most of Obama's supporters are lazy hippies, commies or just can't write, Palin, er,  I mean McCain would get the 34 electoral votes.
