Media Bias

Ever notice whenever the media shows a gun story and they show stock footage of a customers shopping at a gun store that the customers are always obese white guys?

Is this simply law of averages or real media bias? I'm not sure from my experience. Every time I buy a gun there is a fat white guy at the counter.
