There is a website called Government Is Not God that bills itself as A Political Action Committee of Social Conservatives. They are warning McCain to not pick Romney as a VP choice. Apparently there is a whole campaign concerned with that possible eventuality including an ad that is an open letter to McCain.

No Mitt Ad

Really, McCain is your best presidential choice and you are worried about Mitt Romney as a running mate?  I would think Romney would be the best choice as he can readily flip-flop in to whatever you need him to be.

From the website and ad:
“If Governor Romney is on your ticket, many social conservative voters will consider their values repudiated by the Republican Party and will either stay away from the polls this November or only vote down ticket. For the sake of your election, the health of your party, and the future of America you must not allow the obvious electoral consequences of that to occur.”

You people still obviously haven't got a clue. McCain is not a conservative. In fact, he may very well be a card carrying Communist. I don't see any other conclusion for someone that has waged war on The Bill of Rights.

When your pet idiot loses in the fall, don't try to blame it on a V.P. choice or anything else for that matter. Republicans have no one to blame but themselves for giving us such a loser in Ivan McCain. Mitt Romney would be just one more turd trying to keep McCain afloat in the punchbowl.

You worry about someone like Romney keeping conservatives at home but I seriously doubt he can do more damage to the party than McCain has done.  I've got news for you, the conservatives have left the building.

I only hope you morons can finally learn from this mess and just give us a conservative choice next time.
