The price of tickets are $6 each. You request two tickets and give the girl a $100 bill. How much is your change?
Seemed like a simple exercise to me but not if you are a student at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio. My sister went down to their performing arts center and made such a request. The first college student couldn't figure it out so she called in another. The second one was able to determine the change but only after searching for and finding a calculator on which to decipher the complex formula.
Not sure if SSU is totally to blame. After all, garbage in, garbage out.
