Disappointing Shopping Trip

My brother and I decided to head to Borders Saturday evening to pick up a few things on my wish list. No, not the bookstore Borders, the gun store Borders.

My shopping list:

1. .30-40 Krag Brass.  They had three bags before Christmas but I wasn't in the buying-for-myself mode and didn't get any then. Of course they were sold out.  Who suddenly needs three bags of 30-40 Krag?  Well, I guess I did do.

2. IMR4350 Powder.  Same thing, several bottles before Christmas and then now there is none, nada, zilch.

3. IMR4895 Powder.  Who runs out of IMR4895?  Borders does, that's who.

4. Hornady 30 cal. 220 Grain roundnose.  Not only did the not have any, they had only one box of 30 cal Hornady bullets in the whole store.

Well, the bullets and brass can come from Midway.  The powder on the other hand I'll have to look around for because I hate paying a hazmat fee on shipping.  What bothers me most though is their low inventory on most of their reloading. Shotshell stuff was aplenty but the shelves were looking a little bare on bullets and powder for metallic cartridges. Hope they just let their inventory run down at year end and are going to restock. I really don't have anywhere close to buy powder anymore and even Borders is a 45 minute trip in another state.

My brother got everything on his list though: 4lbs Clays, bag of 7 1/2 shot and some wads.  Wasn't a total waste of a 1/4 tank of gas.
