South Florida
My brother and I grew up in South Florida camping in swamps and palmetto fields every month and for a couple of weeks in Summer. We never had to deal with the bitter cold that we did this weekend when camping but we did encounter a serpent from time to time. They are more frequent, larger and more aggressive than those we encounter in Ohio. Recently, a guy dispatched one in his yard near Sebring, Florida. We used to camp near there.
