You have to be the right age to remember this. There is about a 4 year window. If you are 40-44 and have not yet died form diabetes complications, you probably remember the Saturday morning cartoons in the early 70's and the wave of new sweetened cereals. Here is one that a few will remember:
Cereals used to be called things like Sugar Frosted Flakes or Sugar Smacks or Sugar Pops. In the 80's, "sugar" became a cuss word and they removed it from the cereal boxes though the actual sugar remained. Now they call them Frosted Flakes, Honey Smacks and Corn Pops. They are more politically correct that way.
