On This Day

On this day in 1775, the first shots of the American Revolution were fired as British soldiers garrisoned at Boston marched on the peaceful country towns of Lexington and Concord and were met by American Militia.  Genral Gage, the British Military dictator of the region had issued orders to confiscate all American small arms.

Yes, that's right revisionists, the American Revolution began as resisitance to gun control!  The British did not come to impose taxes or collect tea, they came to impose gun control on the American people. And armed citizens resisted.

What if this were to happen in Massachusetts today?  Since they have already instituted their own gun control, they hey would be forced to fight the British with the most powerful weapon they have left: Ted Kennedy's car!

Please take a moment to honor those that fell that day to defend a nation yet unbourn.  If you stand in Lexington on a clear day you can hear a rumbling noise. The sound is from these men rolling over in their graves every time the Massachusetts legislature meets.
