Child Carried Toy Gun For "Protection"
According to an AP story, an 8 year old girl was suspended and may be expelled for taking a replica of a German Luger to school. The girl thought it was real. She said she took it because her big brother wasn't going to be able to walk her home from the bus stop.
The sadest part of this story is that an 8 year old is that scared to walk home alone. What a place the City of Brotherly Love has become. That noise you just heard was Ben Franklin rolling over.
That's so sad.

When I was 8, my teacher gave all the kids in the class toy guns (and poprocks and candy with sugar). And I wasn't afraid to ride my bike all the way home from school by myself. And, no one tried to sell me drugs.
It's fast becomming a sad sad world.
