Cartoons Are Bad, M'Kay?
Earlier this week Tony had a post on his blog about the good ole cartoons. Nearly every comment including my own was positive. After all, the whole world agrees that the old cartoons are far superior to the new ones. Well, not the whole world. Apparently one lone limey numbnut has complained so now Boomerang is going to edit all of the old cartoons. Seems that Tom was smoking in a Tom & Jerry Cartoon and we can't have that. England wants Tom and Jerry to cut back on the smokes
Do you believe that? One idiot in the UK complained and they are going to edit all of the cartoons. In typical English-Australian-European-Marxist style, someone in offended by something so BAN it! OF course! The solution is so simple. Go here to complain to the Uk Censor board called Ofcom. Not that they'll listen to stupid fat Americans when they have one such enlightened numbskull to base their decisions on.
Let's not stop there though as long as you got the scissors out you need to get rid of Popeye's pipe, Yosimite Sam's pistols. Hey, and Richie Riche's money offends poor people, axe that too!
What utter nonsense. About the only thing dumber than editing these cartoons are IRAN's claims that Tom & Jerry was created as a conspriracy to improve the image of Jews in the world. They claim that Jews were thought of throughout Europe as mice and this cartoon is a clear attempt by Jews in America to improve the image of mice and thus Jews. Huh? WTF Iran?
Boomerang is our last bastion of quality cartoons and now they too are bowing down to political correctness. Go here to tell Boomerang what you think.
My 3 Year old loves the old cartoons, she would much rather watch them than that new crap. Has anyone seen the Higglytown Proletariot? I swear Vladimir Lenin wrote this junk. For those of you that have not had the pleasure to view this commie nonsense, the whole premise of the story is a bunch of Russian Nesting Dolls go and visit different working class "heroes". These "heroes" are the common folk that do so much for us everyday. If any of the "citizens" ever feel threatened then they "come inside" or "nest" inside an authority figure. So one of the kids will jump inside a cop or teacher or other symbol of society to protect them. Even the Electrician chants "Power to the People".
That is so much better than Tom & Jerry.
